Although one cannot become 'born again' from an intellectual perspective(this change can only be done by God, and God alone), here are some additional reasons that convinces me to trust in God?1. Truth is knowable.2. There must be a 'cause' for why we are here, as opposed to not. That 'Uncaused cause' is the Transcendent God.3. All the right constants in the universe have been placed in such a fine-tuned order to allow for a life-permitting planet such as ours.4. Life itself is made in such a way that it depends on all of its other parts to function. We are a complex biological system which cannot be explained by naturalistic means.5. Man is not just a physical being, moving and reacting by the electric currents in the brain. There is a mind, a conscious,opinions, the will, the soul, which the laws of physics and chemistry cannot account for. This soul-giver is God.6. There is an 'Absolute Moral Law' which exists within all humanity whether we choose to acknowledge it or not. And this Absolute Law must be given by a Absolute Law-Giver. That Supreme Law-Giver is God.7. Since there is a Supreme Being which can create a universe, a life-permitting planet, and creatures that are not only physical, but also with a soul, it's not unreasonable to believe that this God can perform miracles. One of God's greatest miracles was the universe itself! Miracles were used to confirm the word of God.8. The New Testament is historically reliable. This is evidenced by early testimonies non-christian and christian historians. The New Testament is more reliable than any other ancient historical document. 9. Since the New Testament is proven to be historically, accurately reliable, we can be certain that what it said about Jesus is true and accurate.10. We have eyewitness testimony from those who walked with, talked with, and heard Jesus on a daily bases, who testify to what Jesus said and did. We have non-christian testimony of what Jesus said and did. 11. The New Testament says that Jesus claimed to, not only be the Son of God, but God in the flesh. This was confirmed by fulfilled prophecies about Him, miracles He performed, His sinless life before them, His prediction and accomplishment of His death on the cross, and resurrection from the tomb.12. Therefore, Jesus is God. Whatever Jesus teaches is true. Jesus taught that the Bible is the Word of God. So, anything opposed to the Bible is false.
