Colin- I couldn't stand it and asked google. It seems that Edmunds and Lowe were signed to different record labels hence all Rockpile reocirds being badged up in different way.

Interesting - many thanks. I am familiar with Jonathan Shorland's Welsh pipes and saw the similarity but I had not seen a set with a second drone like that.

I was in my teens when 2-tone and the Specials were in the charts - I really didn't like them.
What on earth was I thinking? They really are a cut above and a stupendously enjoyable experience!!
