It is Mozart's cadenzas, however, the performer can at any given time, embelesh or improvise cadenzas. Mozart frequently left brief gaps in the score, so performers could display his/her piano skills.

The obligato imstrument for this magnificent aria is a basset clarinet, and yes, it gives ne the chills as well. Have you listened to Cecilia Bartoli singing it?? Her coloratura is perfect.

Constanze.

This is Ms. Grimaud's personal interpretation of the adagio movement as she musically percieved it. It is not unusual for performers to improvise and to embellesh the piece during a performance. Mozart would have loved this unique version.

Great performance.

Sublime, tender and somehow melancholic movement. The violin, which carries the score, has a concerto element as the violin solo takes center stage. Magnificently performed.

I am dying to know who wrote the cadenza in the first movement. I don't believe Ms. Uschida played Mozart's cadenza. In fact, I am not sure if Mozart wrote a cadenza for this concerto.

Ach, ich fühl's aria from Die Zauberflote.. Diana Damrau's interpretation is far superior.

Nevertheless, the aria is just beautiful.

Please let me know who wrote the cadenza. I do know it is NOT Mozart's.

Neither one. Mozart left the score at the cota with a gap for the soloist to exhibit his/her skills. Some passages of the cadenza are Mozart's however. He was playful while writing or performing his concerti and frequently improvised at the spare of the moment. As some musicologists and historian...

AlienHazard, the score calls for the second violinist to pause for few seconds. If you read the score, you will understand it.

The tempo is way to slow for an allegro.. it is almost andante.

Esta cama, bajo el cuidado de tres doctores y 6 enfermeras, mi esposa Shari y la ayuda de Dios, me salvó la vida. Estuve casi 5 dias en esta cama en estado comatoso.

You can also see paintings of Mozart playing the fortepiano and Nannerl eith her brother Wolfgang. I would have paid a million dollars to be there!

This violin sonata (K 301) has ONLY two movementes:

1. Allegro con spirito and

2.- Allegro.

Raimondi is a baritone NOT a tenor. In fact, one of the best.
