@Oisin34 The Mauser 98 (or Gewehr 98) could fire 5 stripper clip fed rounds. The "Karabiner 98 Kurz" is the shorter, more soldier-friendly version of the Gewehr 98. Funny, it looks like the Kraut (2:20) is firing a .50 caliber instead of an 8mm. Probably never fired a live round in his life...oh well. Good camera work though!

That whole area is a treasure trove, but metal detecting is illegal in HF and fines are hefty. Better watch out ;-)
