Lil Gooney AKA Gutta is a Charlotte, NC based rap artist. Raised in Grier Town-Vantage 78 Project Housing this talented young man is putting fire to Americas ears expressing the real life of the hood. Rico "Lil Gooney" Horton started exploring his writing talent at the age of 14. When he turned 16, Lil Gooney decided to take his raw talent to the next level by recording his first song. After seeing that the hood loved what his deep inner feelings exposed Lil Gooney found himself determined to make sure that the voice of everyones struggles became known. By age 20 Lil Gooney had advanced with over 36 notebooks full of lyrics and was featured on 17 tracks with other upcoming local artist. In 2008 Lil Gooney released "The Unspoken Truth" single and uncut music video. Looking to advance his social standings he started networking through MySpace and YouTube. Lil Gooney received over 100 hits on YouTube within his 1st week broadcasting and continued to release a new uncut music video monthly. Lil Gooney will be ending the year with over 1500 mixtape downloads, 200 ringtone downloads, and over 800 hard copy releases of "GOONEY'S WORLD VOL.1"

While staying at the top of the Reverbnation charts for Charlotte, NC Lil Gooney was able to create free ringtones/wallpaper for his fans and sign a production deal with a loacl support team to distribute serverl up comming mixtapes.
