I don't know, I've had pretty good luck using a food saver to vacuum seal fresh beans (the same Velton's Bonsai and some from Zoka) and then freeze them for as long as a couple of months. I had a bag that lost it's seal and it was BAD but the ones that held their seal were fine by me.
The people complaining about how long it takes obviously haven't tasted real limoncello before.
And no your standard 40% or 80 proof vodka won't work that well. You should be able to find 151 proof just about any state. Ideally you are using 95% grain alcohol which is different from vodka.
