1-24-12: Slay5K, (1) good post; and (2) nothing removes crackling and/or pops from old vinyl LP's better than a rubdown of the record with a light cloth or paper towel with some Pledge furniture polish. Read the back of a can of Pledge and you'll see it states it cleans vinyl. It works wonders...
