This kind of music need not be tossed onto the "oldies" bin and leave it at that. Doo-Wop is a great style that deserves to be as modern and up to date as anything calling itself music today.

I'm from Norfolk. Does anyone know what part of Norfolk, Virginia Miss Sullavan was born in? And how long did she stay there. Also, does anyone know what schools she may have atteded in Norfolk.

Wow! How long did 78's last as regular releases and not novelties? The Class was 1959 (I think) so were top stars still putting out 78's into the 60's?

What a winner! I've never heard it, and I consider myself a master Chubby fan! Certainly the Beatles were #1 for many of us, but with all of the (mostly) dreck they dragged in through the "British Invasion" all of the great early 60's acts, like Mr. CC were unfairly wiped off the charts.
