Terrific version of "If You Go Away," John -- really polished and heartfelt. Please give my "After You're Gone" a listen when you get a chance. Though I had not heard the Jacques Brel piece when I wrote it, they do seem related (and I don't think I've ever written a Frencher melody!). Anyway, congrats on a beautiful recording -- and I look forward to much more from you. (For additional Brel, check out "Song for Old Lovers." There are many English translations -- and some aren't the greatest. The best version I've heard was on a Lainie Kazan album from 10-15 years ago. It's unfortaunately not on youtube, but you should be able to find it somewhere).
