Yes. The V8's are louder than the V10's/V12's. I personally like the V8 screaming more than the more bass like bigger engines.

About what I saw there live at the scene. You obviously can't expect them to be as fit as the drivers but still, I saw a lot of downright fat ones who obviously will be waaaaayyy slower

Not very professional of the circuit to not have better stands than this though. Although everything done by us Belgians is done mediocre at best, and in the case of French Belgians, done downright bad :p

The commentator there said they had no footage of it idd. He hit the tyre wall frontal at full speed. He basicallly slipped till his front was aimed straight at the tyre wall, than regained grip and went in extremely hard. I thought he was dead on impact but he had nothing.
