In the tradition of Bill Butler - as described in his book "Jammin'" - and all the skaters worldwide who bounce, rock, skate, & roll to the groove on their skates. Influential movies are "8 Wheels And Some Soul Brotha Music" by Tyron Dixon, "Roll Bounce" and "ATL".
During the 80's we had rollerrinks in every bigger city in germany and many people might remember the "Rollerland Hanau" as the place to be.
Today, there's a new rink in Hanau called "Skatetown" and still in existence is the rollerrink Marl celebrating the 27th year in business in 2009. The Quadsk8rs from the netherlands organize international events keeping funky rhythm rollerskating alive.
