Damn I miss the 60s and yes it was a better time than now! The music back then was so far superior to the crap that passes for music today. There was a simplicity that we've lost now, but it was not a bad thing!

Леонид Харитонов - "Песня о Блохе"

    Песня написана М.П. Мусоргским в 1879 г. на слова Гете в поэме «Фауст» (песня Мефистофеля в погребке Ауэрбаха). ...

    MrHobbes2001 MrHobbes2001 commented:

I understand Leonid never actually performed in an opera even though he had one of the best operatic voices I've ever heard! He had such a deep bass voice and a cheerful expression as he sang folk, classical, and military numbers. Russia had the West beat when it came to this type of music.

Look at their rigid formation- staid and emotionless - even Leonid barely moves as he belts out the words. I made my own video from the beautiful song from Jethro Tull.

    MrHobbes2001 MrHobbes2001 commented:

At the 4:33 mark it sounds like a Kansas organ riff by Steve Walsh. Andrew Gittings was Tull's keyboardest at this time and he had a pretty distinct style. Actually Steve Walsh wasn't with the band after a few stops on their 1980s tour of this album.
