My brother is autistic, and it wasn't until he was 12yo that he was diagnosed. He's now 28, and does not want me in his life because of personal issues. Autism can completely devastate a family, as it has done mine. Only when the family and the doctors work together can it be properly managed.

I have ALWAYS told my female friends to NEVER EVER think of marrying a man from overseas, for this exact reason... if they have kids and the marriage goes south, the guy can kidnap the kids and fly off overseas and they never see the kids again....

@chiccabay I agree.... here in Australia, we used to use the term "for the term of his/her natural life", indicating the convicted person'd spend the rest of their life in prison.

That is so sad... My mother, grandmother, great-aunt and great-grandmother were all nurses, and I can definitely testify to the HUGE impact that a nurse has on a patient's recovery.

My cat is like that with me and my gout... every time I am about to have a major attack with my gout, my cat will follow me around the house all day and wont leave me alone for about a day or two before I have an attack. He'll even sleep with me and bathe with me until the attack is over!

@dorsome it's not really the police force that's the problem, it's the laws they gotta abide by that really stink... the majority of the laws that the police have to uphold are antiquated and archaic, as is the system they are required to work!
