Dan really nails this guitar riff. He plays it his own way,but I think respectful to the original. I had to rush home to my guitar first time I heard this, but that riff takes a while to get soundin' like Dan's playin' it. Top song, damn good cover of a damn fine song.

That's how a true blues player performs when he plays with one of his idols. SRV shows absolute respect throughout. They compliment each others sound, and never do they attempt to conflict or out perform one another. Truely a joy to listen to.

Alot of The Black Keys stuff is a blues progression with a bouncing riff off the bottom E or A string (guitar). Hendrix did it alot and if you're really good at it you often can get by quite well without a bass player, as you kind of play the bass riff at the same time. But I tend to agree a bass...
