As one third of Roots Life Productions with Nestor-Lafayette & Eric (Tribe General) Toussaint, under the moniker Claudius Maximus he make beats and predominantly plays instruments, namely the 6 string guitar. Enigma's writing style is as enigmatic az his name. From the pains of struggle & oppression to the joys of happiness & love of life. Through politics, love, drama, comedy, insanity, retribution & a scope of reality that stands on the wall of revolution, he paints his film noir. His hardcore rap balanced with his melodic song bode the listener to question everything outside and within. Whether singing, rapping, blogging or spoken word, his voice rings controversial topics & speaks debate. Whether you agree or disagree your brain will be happy to have met him.
Mr.E-Nigma : Poet, EmcEE,Song writer, Lyricist, Rock Singer & Frontman, DJ, Beat Maker, Music Efficienado, & Visual Artist. Plays guitar, bass, piano and drums. He's been writing and reciting rhymes since the tender age of five and had found himself as the lead singer for rock band Amphibious Soul when he was 15.
At that time he began learning about the stage and a bit about the music industry. He later on, after the demise of this great high school band, which went through 3 line up changes and improved his song & poetry writing skills, as well as his ear for playing instruments, began adapting his rhyme & mic skills to the art of spoken word and the backdrop of drum & bass (jungle).
During this time he had written a few journalistic pieces for college magazines and blog spots. He began a 2 year run as a trance, breaks & house DJ in the rave scene of DC, VA & (predominantly) MD.
At the birth of the new millennium he found himself gluing together a young group of HipHoppaz he named The Basement Squad, who made 2 mix-tape style Cd's, one of which circulated in Ethiopia. It was laced with 4 solo efforts and he headlined most posse cuts on the Cd. He put together his own projects OmegaLand All Stars and M.O.R. before returning to his roots with a few of the guys that got him started when he was so young.
Now with AK as his home he has sung hooks, spit fire, played guitar and produced tracks. So much MoR 2 come!!!
