Question for someone who knows more about this than I:

Why, when Professor Moriarty wrote the equation, did he you natural log(omega)- whereas on the tombstone it says log(W)?

Holy crap. Now I know how mirages work.

I mean, I've always wondered about it. I've just never pursued it further. But now I know. And I'll always know. I'll be able to look at a mirage on a highway and go, "I know why it's doing that."

@nFnBjR *Foley. Just one 'l'. And actually most dialogue is recorded during filming, because ADR is a pain to get looking right (I've had to do it before, it sucks). But everything else, 'foley' as you said, is recorded afterwards. About that you're correct.

@Johanop The truth is that pretty much the only sound recorded during the filming process that will make it into the final cut is dialogue. Everything else- footsteps, gunshots, clothe-rubbing, scrapes, punches- all added from stock sounds or new clean-recordings in post-production.

And don't me give that load of "It's Pixar AND Disney." Pixar gave us "WALL-E," "A Bug's Life," and "Toy Story" 1, 2, and 3. Disney gave us Miley Cyrus.

If you think Disney had a part in the making of "WALL-E" then you're unfamiliar with the way that Pixar movies are made.

@AlanFrance21 Cool, I didn't know that. The discussion, however, was more centered around if the bullet was not fired vertically. In that case, the muzzle velocity would still have an affect on the speed of the bullet- unrelated to terminal velocity, as you said.

Orbiting around the Earth, you never need to have nighttime. Well, that's not exactly true- you'll still have like ten minutes of nighttime, but the nighttime problem would be pretty much solved.

@athena2517 The puff levels are related to the level of stress. The higher the puff level, the higher the stress.

So, in a way, the lower the puff level the higher the awesome, because lack of stress is usually awesome.
