@nFnBjR *Foley. Just one 'l'. And actually most dialogue is recorded during filming, because ADR is a pain to get looking right (I've had to do it before, it sucks). But everything else, 'foley' as you said, is recorded afterwards. About that you're correct.

@Johanop The truth is that pretty much the only sound recorded during the filming process that will make it into the final cut is dialogue. Everything else- footsteps, gunshots, clothe-rubbing, scrapes, punches- all added from stock sounds or new clean-recordings in post-production.

@AlanFrance21 Cool, I didn't know that. The discussion, however, was more centered around if the bullet was not fired vertically. In that case, the muzzle velocity would still have an affect on the speed of the bullet- unrelated to terminal velocity, as you said.
