Not only to be able to sound so incredible, but to be able to infuse every line of the coloratura with such characterization.. it leaves me breathless. Mozart would love this.

The only thing about this that I can't dwell on too much because it breaks my heart is that Mozart's 41st Symphony is his last, written at only age 35. What would Symphony 42 have been? 43? 51? 60?? It makes me want to cry just thinking about it.

The repeated phrases of 'Che Vergonia... (starts at 3:25) when she is revolted with herself might be one of my favorite Mozart vocal lines. In the space of 30 seconds the most vividly and strikingly beautiful emotion is expressed so effortlessly.

Holy shit the fugue is so fast what a crazy tempo. Jacobs is always unexpected. And he certainly knows how to get his orchestra to play with incredible energy. I think the opening of his Cosi Fan Tutte has the most amazing sustained energy and passion. It is incredible

He sings Arbace on Jacob's Idomeneo. The part is insignificant and usually atleast one of his arias are cut but he sings both of them on the recording with such beauty that you couldn't imagine not having them. Check them out.

YouTube comments make me so sad sometimes. I lose faith in the common decency of people and just general level of intelligence. It saddens me that with the ability to share beauty and love with others, so many people would rather make hateful and just ignorant comments.
