There's a subtle nod towards Elton John and his 1970's persona in this video with the way he used to wear garish outfits all the time and the big boots remind me of when he played the Pinball Wizard character in the 1975 movie 'Tommy'.

Man, I love Otis but anyone who truly understood soul music would never say such a thing. James Brown was an inconceivably soulful man. He just had his own unique expression of that soul. Like a different color of the rainbow.
