I remember buying the vinyl LP "Singles As & Bs" years ago, purely to get this track (as well as Strange Kind of Woman), both of which I've always loved. As someone says earlier in the thread, this should have been on Fireball, particularly as the studio version of I'm Alone is fast and punchy.

Saw Whitesnake several times in Bristol in the Moody-Marsden era, which I prefer much more than the big hair/big videos era from 1987 onwards. Not one of the main tracks on Firefly by any means, but Heep still do a great job with it. Great John Lawton vocals & background synthesiser by Ken Hensley. For me, this LP was easily the best of the John Lawton era.

Just listened to this again & it seems even better now than it did 4 days ago! About time I bought the CD of this album - I still only have the vinyl version!
