@myxklptk Maurice Williams wrote this and his group the Gladiolas released THE FIRST version of this song. The Diamonds released a COVER version and had the big hit as happened with many cover versions of songs released in the fifties.

Unchained Melody is the theme song from a movie from the 1955 titled Unchained. Unchained Melody was recorded by quite a few people in the fifties. I like Bobby's version and Al Hibbler's from 1955.
