The Illusion tree is likely the most powerful magic, even for non-pacifists. Muffle & invisible makes sneak quests trivial, and fury/frenzy/mayhem whittles every crowd down to a single wounded adversary.

There are very simple puzzles (symbol matching, levers) to progress through some dungeons. There are no places where you'll need pencil and paper or have to take a break to solve them.
