I will be using this channel to post videos of myself playing bass along to some of my favourite tracks from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Hope you like them.
About Me:
The gear I will be using to record the videos will be as follows...
Bass Guitar: Fender Jazz 70's reissue
Effects Processor: Korg Pandora PX4D
Strings: Elites Light .35
Webcam: Microsoft LifeCam 3000
I use the facility with the PX4D to remove the bass frequency from the original track, so the bass you hear should be me.
As a starting point, I use the following settings on the Korg:
Gain/Mid: 50%
Bass: 100%
Treble: 75%
DYNA: COMP 8.0
AMP: LA STUD or JAZZ (If Jazz then Bass = 50% and Treble = 100%)
CAB: LA 4x10 4.0
MOD: CHORUS2 0.32
DLY: FX OFF
REV: FX OFF
NR: 5.0

Strangely, I too am a software developer and play bass guitars! Own several - 2 basses 1/ Satellite Fender Jazz copy, 2/ Westone Thunder II Fretless, 3/ Fender 6 Str Acoustic 4/ Yamaha 12 St Acoustic, 5/ Fenix 6St Electtric..... Wish I had more arms/hands and I would sound great! Don't get too much spare time to record stuff, just a hobby really. Love the funk/slap bass you play very well. Keep posting vids. All the best.
