A great piece of music, to what has to be one of the top 10 realistic war movies of all time. Most people miss the fact that the movie is about the futility of war, and the sad loss of good men.

To me, Mireille is the best female singer in the world! And this is in my favorite five songs by her. Beautiful music!

I believe that in english their name is the"Wetphalian Nightingales", I have always enjoyed their music.

Most will say that this is a "Nazi" march, not true. This was written by Carl Teike in the 1800's. The title is "To Old Friends". I had the pleasure of singing this in a German beer garden with the locals. It is about saluting old friends, whether alive or fallen in war.

I was raised in Antilla, and left in 1963. It was once a beautiful place. Yes, there was poverty, but there was freedom. Nobody went hungry due to the kindness of their neighbors. These videos were taken before hurricane Ike went through and destroyed 60% or more of the town. Guillermo Llano Reed
