@MrHugorocks Probably because Bob Costas was reporting for NBC Sports. The head of NBC Sports was Dick Ebersol, who is very good friends with Vince McMahon. Costas might have been trying to defame WCW's product.

Whether or not Costas made logical sense by saying that well, that's another issue.
