Baan Thai Restaurant opened its welcoming doors to Ballsbridge in the Spring of 1998 and continually strives to serve only the best, most Authentic Thai Cuisine to be found in Ireland. The restaurant is Thai family owned and all of whom are extremely passionate about Thai food and as it is part of their daily lives and culture. This helps to ensure that only our clientele will experience the true Thai dining experience that is to be had outside of Thailand and this side of the world.

Baan Thai Ballsbridge, our flagship restaurant, which opened 12 years ago, is conveniently located in the heart of Dublin 4 opposite the RDS which hosts a wide range of shows, concerts and events. The restaurant can be easily reached within a 10 minute walk of Lansdowne Road or Sandymount DART Station. Baan Thai can also be reached from the city centre via public bus transport which leaves from Nassau St on a regular basis.

The restaurant has an additional Dining Room upstairs which is located on the 3rd floor and makes for an excellent private function room for large groups, parties or special occasions.

Baan Thai Restaurant in Leopardstown has been serving the greater Dublin 18 area and surrounding community since October of 2004. Step into the hidden gem that is Baan Thai, amidst a modern skyline of apartments and office buildings, where you will partake in a true Thai dining Experience. Walking through the doors of Baan Thai Leopardstown has been said to be akin to stepping off the plane and finding yourself in Amazing Thailand. The restaurant is Thai family owned and all of whom are extremely passionate about Thai food as it is part of their daily lives and culture. This signifies the restaurant's goal of high quality of service and the most authentic Thai cuisine to be found in Ireland and outside of Thailand itself.

Baan Thai Leopardstown, our sister restaurant, opened 6 years ago and is easily reached by car via the M50 motorway at exit 14. As of October 16th the Luas line from St Stephen's Green will service Central Park Luas Station, Baan Thai's doorstep, as one of its stops along the Green Luas Line. Regular public buses also service the Sandyford area from Dame Street in Dublin City Centre.

The restaurant has a spacious front and back area which can easily accommodate large groups or parties for special occasions. The main focal point of the restaurant is the uniquely designed "Thai Dining Area" which sits beneath a traditional Thai roof top. In the Thai Dining Area you can enjoy the comfort of private booth dining of up to 6 adults in an enclosed setting for a more intimate Thai dining experience. The purpose built area was constructed to give our customers a real taste of true Thai dining as your feet are snugly fit below floor level and as you enjoy an authentic Thai meal whilst comfortably sitting on our plush Thai pillow seats.

Both restaurants have been awarded the official Thailand brand certificate of Authentic Thai Products which was given by the Department of Export Promotion from the Ministry of Commerce in Thailand. This lays the foundations for what can be expected of Authentic Thai cuisine. Thai food is considered by many to be one of the world's best. Baan Thai's food, friendly staff and warm surroundings try to live up to that expectation.

The menu has an exquisite selection of Authentic Thai dishes that range from exotic Thai curries to tantalising stir-frys, all rounding Roast Crispy Duck, succulent Seabass, a wide range of seafood options, some spicy salads, and variety of noodle dishes. Vegetarian options are also available on the menu.

Be sure to enjoy a chilled local Thai Beer or a glass of your favourite wine from our drinks menu whilst soaking up the true Thai dining experience which is definitely not to be missed.
