Ivan Rebroff - Das Einsame Glöckchen
"The Lonely Chimes", showing that amazing vocal range from bass to soprano.
@maccdkm123 If I knew what language this was I could perhaps translate it. I've tried all that I can think of. Slovenian? You've put, "Got it right finally, so you speak English. Any chance of a translation please?

Anyone got "Gone Are The Songs Of Yesterday" by Phillip G-T, which he wrote for "Love Affair"?
He sounded quite like Steve Ellis of "Love Affair", but his own version is better, in my view.

Ben E. King - Halfway To Paradise
Good old pop song
The best version of this song by far, in my opinion, and it's been sung by 40 or 50 people over the years. Carole King & Gerry Goffin wrote some lovely tunes and beautiful lyrics.
"I want to be your lover, but your friend is all I stay. I'm only halfway to paradise, so near, yet so far away..."...

Jackie Wilson - Sing (And Tell The Blues So Long)
Great Song (hard to find) 10/10
I've had this 45 for nearly 50 years on the Coral label, backed with Jack (not Jackie) Wilson & Linda Hopkins, singing "I Found Love". It was also on the Brunswick label he used for most of his other recordings, backed with "Hearts".
It was played for me on a UK radio show "Sounds Of The Sixties...

@pearsnockie The CD I have it on is called "It's Not Just Sentimental The unheard Otis 22 tracks. The 'Missing' album. 14 never before released songs and 7 previously unissued out-takes". There are 12 pages of sleeve notes with some interesting information about the tracks and about Otis, by Rob ...

@pearsnockie You're right. It’s not that important. I was only posting what was on the sleeve notes, but it sounded like Otis to me too.
If you buy the CD you’ll also get a second take of the song, but not the one they used for the released version.
You’ll also get a very different version of ...

Jackie Wilson & Shirley Ellis / Dick and Dee Dee
Here's Jackie Wilson (my grandfather) and Shirley Ellis (of The Name Game and The Nitty Gritty fame) singing a rockin' duet together "Gonna Mess Up...
I have been trying to get "Sing (And Tell The Blues So Long)" for years. I have it on a 45 (Coral 72453) but would like a scratch-free version that I can transfer to MP3.
Most of his records were on Brunswick. My 45 has a "B" side with Linda Hopkins singing "I Found Love", where he is credited ...

I've loved this since I first heard it in the sixties before Engelbert Humperdinck covered it.
I posted her singing, "Set Me Free" and it was immediately removed as contravening copyright.
Strange.
