I saw your comment on minecraftwb's channel. For a custom background you will need Photoshop CS5 and/or Cinema4d. Cinema 4D is not a necessity, but it is good for 3D text. Once you have the software, get or make a template for YouTube. Then make your background and make sure to save it as a JPEG and upload it to youtube :)
