At least most other pieces pad the film with people actually doing stuff, regardless of how mundane. This movie just pads itself with pausing for 2-minute stretches every other minute.

Yeah, same here. The NES version was redone for Super Smash Bros. Brawl if I remember right, though. It's Tetris theme A, as opposed to B and C. I could recognize all three by the first few notes.
