Morwie Lane is a band from The Netherlands, formed in the beginning of 2008, which makes honest, real music about subjects that caught their minds. The power of Morwie Lane lies in their ability to produce its individual unique sound and to play its own Acoustic Rock songs. Fresh, melodious guitar alternates with dark powerful riffs who grab hold of you time and again. The palpable presence of the wonderful bass guitar fills up their compositions thereby creating a wall of sound. Sometimes supported by subtle drum fills but then propelled by energetic drums, their music never bores. The dynamic and never tiresome soundboard is reinforced by the exceptionally strong and unique voice of the lead singer, adding up to a wonderful ocean of sound. Without any apparent effort, the singer switches between vulnerable, pure ambience of a ballad to screaming dynamics of a power song. Morwie Lane has a certain dark flavor, and contains a high dose of reality.

With all members coming from different musical backgrounds and joined together in this refreshing formation, their unique sound is nothing less than expected. Thanks to many years of experience of all members and their willingness and openness to renewal and change, these men manage to join forces and form the rock solid band Morwie Lane. Due to the own character of the band, it is difficult to make comparisons with other bands. However, people listening to Morwie Lane have sometimes mentioned such bands as The Doors, Mark Lanegan, Alice in Chains (Unplugged), and Radiohead.

Morwie Lane worked on songs constantly for the last few years and has managed to accumulate quite the repertoire. Next to a variety of performances, the band has been played on several national radio stations including Radio2 and KinkFM. Morwie Lane also went into the studio to record their debut short EP containing four very all-round songs. This CD has been received enthusiastically by a number of critics.
