About this user

I've always been a musician - voice being my primary instrument. Expression through The Arts was more or less my life before my family grew up and away, and I became an EFL teacher in Asia. Actually, I use all of those skills nearly every time I face a class - teaching between 400 and 500 college students per semester when I'm on a teaching contract. I enjoy many kinds of music, but this collection will probably show my clear preference for Hebrew Roots, Celtic, Island music, and a way to express the grief of having lost my beloved husband after 30 years of marriage, as well as the aftermath within our families of the divorce. In this pic, I was honored to take part in a beautiful concert evening in Nanjing, and was presented with the "Showstar" award, as well as the traditional Tibetan white scarf of honor. It was an INCREDIBLE evening. What did I sing? DESPERADO - which went a very long way to deepening meaningful personal communication with my students thereafter. They went wild for it. Pinch me - did it all really happen? Well - these kinds of experiences continue as I teach from city to city. A very cool lifestyle, hopefully waging "The War of Love" wherever the Wind doth blow..
