Isabelle Moretti, harp
Rejuvanating the harp's image of little pastel cherubs, floating and simpering in the musical heavens...
Brushing away rosy clouds and old frills. Isabelle's harp romps through everything - takes colour and catches fire - in short, lives... seizing music by the scruff of the neck,
Isabelle Moretti shoots an arrow straight into our hearts: one of sincerity and generosity together, masterfully expressed.
Here is a gourmande and a lover of life, who chooses her images - often to do with food! - to mould her playing and lead you to see all its colours. These fireworks leave much more than arid powder behind them, too. Such a flood of life and passion would not exist without the master behind it. Of course, in the fire of action, you will be dazzled by the flames, but Isabelle is not the sacred fire herself. Her high-flying is always at the service of emotion, music and life!
P.S.: Let's remind that Isabelle Moretti teaches at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de la Musique et de la Danse de Paris and, since 2008, Visiting professor at the Royal Academy of Music of London ; that she was awarded the Victoire de la Musique Classique as the most exciting "new talent" and that she also has a whole bagful of prestigious international prizes to her credit. We must not forget also that she recorded about ten CDs for Auvidis/Naïve, Harmonia Mundi and Koch/Schwann.
With her harp like a knapsack on her back, she blithely travels the length and breadth of the earth.
