DRUG REFORM:
I Advocate for Pain Patients. I am an Activist for Drug Reform-Pain Patient Rights. My mission is to educate people on the myths & truths of Cannabis, Drugs & the Pain Patient and/or Addict.
Definition of Insanity: "Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results." Is spending over $50 Billion a year to fight a war that will never be won insane?
In this country, our prisons are filled with innocent people and the guilty are set free. Is there something wrong with this picture? There should be sensible drug laws and help for those who need it. We need to re-evaluate this situation and see that there are more important Causes than wasting over $50 BILLION a year to support this War!! Watch the videos in Drug Reform and judge for yourself.
Quoted from Book below by Barry Stimmel: "Chapter 1; MYTH "Pain was considered a feeling rather than a sensation and classified as a "passion of the soul,' origination within one's heart." TRUTH "...pain originated from vibrations in the skin due to noxious stimulus, which in turn activated a 'delicate thread...attached to the spot of the skin,' ultimately traveling to the brain, with pathways to the pineal gland".
In short:
DEPENDENCE: the BODY is dependent on narcotic/other drugs without increasing medication for years.
ADDICTION: The MIND is addicted and the narcotics/other drugs are increased to get high.
"Medical Marijuana Trial of Donna Lambert, Building a bridge with government to accept the will of the voters 13 years ago when California Citizens legalized marijuana for medical use. The freedom of the more than 40,000 marijuana prisoners now held in America's prison cages." Donna Lambert http://thcompassion.org

About Me:
Full of Fear.
My panic grows manic till I can't hear,
In need of reprieve so I can breathe,
Remove my Pain,
Please make it leave."
The war on drugs has become the war on pain patients. Unfortunately, I am one of those patients. I will continue to suffer, needlessly, every hour, every minute, every second of everyday for the rest of my life. Pain can be controlled without increasing meds. Uneducated and uncaring doctors, have told me that I would have to increase my meds to decrease the pain...WRONG!!! Only if I/or a pain patient wanted to get high, then by all means, YES. When I lived in Coulee Dam, my Mother died, I let myself free-fall till I reached the bottom, so I thought. I moved, keeping Dr. C or as I refer to him as"God-Complex" as my dr, only to be abruptly taken off all my meds, which were ALOT!! He "threw me out of the plane without a parachute". When I hit bottom this time, I knew where I was...HELL!! I was in it...WITHDRAWALS!!!! Did you know you can't crawl out of your skin? It lasted for over 3 weeks. I wonder if he even cared? He wouldn't even talk to me, his "nurse" did. He needs to learn what compassion is and stop scaring patients. When I get scared, I show anger. I had to become my own doctor & pharmacist for 6 months. I went through the second withdrawal alone too. I slowly decreased methadone until I was just licking the pill. I thought it was the worst thing that had happened to me. Then, I realized it made me stronger. I was so lost in my Mother's death at that time. He should have had some compassion for me and decreased my meds to the lowest dose. Do you want the uncensored truth...Yes, I did get addicted mentally to escape the loss of my Mother. Everything became to hard to bear and I knew at the time that it was something that would haunt me for the rest of my life. If you have ever been addicted, you know that the problem was mental. My physical pain is real and I needed to sort through the pain of my heart. I still needed the meds but at a much much lower dose. This is why I am an advocate for Pain Patients and an activist for Drug Reform. Unlike my doctor I have compassion for pain patients. I have been on both sides of the spectrum and I understand that pain is crippling and NO ONE should have to feel so limited, so weak, so dependent on other people...so worthless. It's hard to have hope when it hurts to open your eye's and see the beauty the world has to offer and constantly feeling like you are detached from life itself. So if you can relate to anything that I have said here fret not. I want to make sure no one has to go through what I went through. I know the only thing a pain patient is seeking is...a life. I want to fight for the people who cannot fight for themselves. I want to educate doctor's, the court and police system, drug and alcohol counselors etc. People/Professionals have such a narrow minded view on pain patients. They become so ignorant and afraid of the DEA that they loose the ability to think for themselves. Believing they have all the answers and they know that the "only truth is drug seeking, pathetic addicts, who have become REALLY good at faking being hurt". So coincidentally the people who truly are crippled by pain get looked down upon with disdain and shoved out the door. Don't get me wrong I know there still are good doctors and people being helped. And yet I am unable to turn my back on the millions of people being treated like lairs and being forced to live a life in the gallows.
There is one more thing I would like to add: It is to the ONE Doctor that gave me my life back. He is truly one of a kind. A man full of compassion, empathy, and an amazing understanding of the human heart and how living with that kind of pain can rob you from any chance of a normal life. The one quality I saw in him (if I had to choose the most important) that doctors need is... humanity.
His name is Dr. B., he will always be my "Knight in Shining Armour". Thank you for being beyond this generations type of thinking & being a MAN who can think for himself and stand up for what you know is right and true. God Bless you :)
