25 million records sold and half a dozen trips around the world later, Montell Jordan is still on top of the game. This October, Montell says, "Let It Rain."

With strong lyrics and smooth vocals riding along a steady stream of hard-hitting musically intense tracks, "Let It Rain" - Montell's long-awaited new release - is an exhibition of the veteran talent that R&B has come to expect from the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated phenomenon.

Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum R&B recording artist Montell Jordan was the second R&B artist signed to the Def Jam label and became the label's main male artist until leaving Def Jam in 2003.

Jordan's first single was the platinum 1995 #1 hit single "This Is How We Do It," which garnered a Grammy nomination that year and has been featured in several motion pictures and television programs.

The next single for Montell was "Somethin' 4 Da Honeyz" (RIAA Gold), which peaked at #21. Later hits would include "Let's Ride" (RIAA Platinum) with Master P and "Get It On Tonite."

Besides crafting his own material, Jordan has written and produced for a number of outside artists, including Christina Milian, 98 Degrees, Deborah Cox ("Nobody's Supposed to Be Here," 1998), and Sisqó (the number-one hit "Incomplete," 2000). The singer has had cameo roles in the films The Fighting Temptations and The Nutty Professor, and he performed on the documentary Standing in the Shadows of Motown.

Montell, a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, attended Pepperdine University in California where he earned a Bachelor of Communication.
