Range and accuracy are way better than your average aeg. Been rocking this badboy on the stock barrel and hop rubber for almost 2 years now and it's still performing better than it should. However, it's still an m4-length carbine. For a DMR-build you should go for something longer...

The little gap is due to how the URX RAS is mounted to the upper reciever, you sort of screw it on towards the reciever and then tighten it with a locking nut from inside the RAS which, combined with plenty of threading on the barrel nut, makes it very sturdy. It's all good stuff baby...

The internals are of good quality. I've had no (zero) hiccups so far and I've shot more than 10 000 bbs through it. So it all depends on how you want to use it. Out of the box it's absolutely perfect for use as a medium range outdoor assault rifle since it hits that sweet spot at ~395...

So yeah, saving all that time it takes to get a perfect shim job is worth the money in my mind. But if you really like shimming your own gears from a hobby perspective, then you should probably go with traditional gears.

Unfortunately I can't give you a chrono of the RoF since this gearbox is no longer in my possession, it was in a VFC AK74 I sold a month ago, however judging by the sound signature I would estimate a RoF of somewhere between 15-20rps (900-1200rpm)
