About Molly's World
Molly is a 12-year-old girl from the Mathare slum of Nairobi, Kenya. In 2011, the World Food Programme gave her a small video camera donated by Cisco and asked her to record scenes from her daily life. On this page you can see much of the footage that Molly shot.
Fascinated by Molly's videos, some children at a school in Rome, Italy, decided to respond to Molly with their own video. You will also find some of that video on this page. And so began a dialogue-by-video between children in quite different cultural environments. We're hoping this dialogue will continue, and broaden to other children, other schools.
