I loved this song the first time I heard it - and I got the goosebumps too! And I still get the same feeling whenever I hear it. All power to the songwriters - and their chords! To me it always hit me as a spiritual song.

Terrible avoidable tragedy - and my own son coud have been in such a situtation recently - because someone loaded a gun at the dinner table. That's when the US gun laws truly impinged on me as a mother and I counted the days when my son would be on a plane home to the United King...

I agree! I like to listen to English songs sung in other languages. This song sounds so soft and fluid in Spanish. I don't understand every word, but it's very nice to listen to.

I think the singer's English accent probably comes through, but that's even to the glory of God :)

Part of the appeal of this quite simple song is that the refrain hooks into your brain. You end up singing, 'I could sing of your love forever' for ever!

America is of course money-oriented as you say, but also generally more God-orientated. The UK is largely a godless society. Here it's best to be atheist; only losers believe in anything beyond this earth...

Thanks for this - I heard the song by Janet Jackson in a supermarket today and I didn't know what it was. But the music was uplifting. You've captured something of it . Thanks for putting the music together with the beauty of nature.
