About Me:
Here's alittle info about me. I was born and raised in Jamaica Queens. The luv for Music is what brought me to youtube. Music was introduced to me at an early age. Its in my veins, its in my soul; my father was a composer, and played the piano in carnegie hall when i was only a few months old. He was real nice on the keys.
I remember my mother playing alot of old school records back in the days too, and it all stuck with me as i got older.
The hands on experience, started for me, when i began Djing in Junior highschool. I used to rush home to record funk master flex on friday night street jams, almost every week.
Thats the type of luv i have for music. I started out with a mixer, and one turntable, trying to perfect the craft.
Back in the days, it was like, if you knew how to scratch.. You was considered the one of the hottest Dj's.
As i got deeper into music, i became curious and wanted to know who was the person behind the scenes creating the beat from scratch, and how they put this together.
One day, i went over a friends house, and he was messing around with a program called fruity loops. I was amazed at what you could do with this program, cus i didnt have a drum machine at the time. These things were real expensive to purchase, so thats when my boy gave me a copy of the Fruity loops program, and i started making beats. After some time went by, i realized at how complicated things could be trying to fill in little boxes with drums samples. I mean it had gotten real frustrating to the point where it was hard for me to make sure the timing was on point with the drum samples. So, i said to myself, there's got to be something else i can use to make things easier. And thats when i realized, that the tool i needed was the Akai Mpc.
Now the problem was, coming up with the money for one. It costed me $900 for the machine alone. So i had to make sure that this was something that i really wanted to do. Cus, who wants to spend that kind of money on one piece of equipment. But i made the right decision.
Here i am, in 2010, its going down. Im going to heat up them streets!
