About this user
I was born in the Belgian Congo in 1930. A brilliant and curious student, I excelled at my studies and in sports, but my mischievous sense of adventure landed me in a seven-year tour of the army. Upon leaving, I traveled the world as a journalist, eventually stopping at an American college in 1960. There I studied history and literature and founded the first drum circle and the first shooting clubs. I graduated with dual degrees in 1964, and returned to my homeland to bring freedom to my people as the President of Zaire, from 19651997. My popularity as President increased demand for my theatrical works, leading to the publishing of five of my short plays. Sadly, however, my successes were so great that even today my enemies persist in distorting the economic advancements made by my government, my civil liberties record and my contributions to the arts. This determination on their part led to my ouster in 1997 and the subsequent bowdlerizing of my literary record. Since then, I have contributed to weekly baseball columns in print and online.
