Garbage Trucks... that's what this channel revolves around. Most of you may not find this subject fascinating, however, there are a lot of people who take an interest in these machines. The size of the trucks, the roar of the engines, the power of the hydraulics and the different aspects of engineering are the key factors which grab my attention.

The technology used and the trucks themselves are utilised to transport hundreds of millions of tonnes of garbage produced around the world each year, and this fact is often taken for granted... what would the world be like without garbage trucks? This is one place where these sophisticated machines are appreciated.

My original goal was to visit 52 councils within a specific region of my state to capture footage of the vast range of collection methods, trucks and contractors found within the different local government areas. Now I have extended the borderlines across the whole of NSW and into certain regions of neighbouring states VIC and QLD to further explore residential waste services. I'm also regularly hunting the heavy duty equipment used to tackle the commercial and industrial sector, such as the monster front loaders and tough hook-lifts.

I have a very strong interest in the global waste industry, with my related garbage truck interest seen through this channel. I am also a real "greenie" with the strong passion I have for nature and the environment.

Early in 2010 I decided to complete school a little earlier, which allowed me to pursue my career in the waste industry, initially with a local waste contractor known as URM. My lead dream is to establish my own waste service, which I would hope to expand towards residential contracts. However, as long as I am able to drive and work around garbage trucks, I'll be a happy person in the end.
