About this user

Mitchel Federan just may be the most ambitious person you will ever meet. He is an accomplished actor, dancer, singer, teacher, and choreographer, born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Mitchel has studied in a multitude of different genres including Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, and Acrobatics. His theatrical credits include the National Tour of Annie Get Your Gun, The Music Man on Broadway, and The Boy From Oz on Broadway, which he starred in opposite Hugh Jackman. During his time in New York, Mitchel also racked in various television credits like a role on ABC's All My Children, an appearance on 8 Simple Rules, both The Macy's Day Parade and Good Morning America for the Boy From Oz, and two pilots for ABC's Just A Phase which he starred in. Mitchel was nominated for two "Outstanding Featured Actor In A Musical" awards and won a Theatre World Award for "Best Broadway Debut" in 2004. Incredibly enough, Mitchel achieved every one of these credits before his 13th birthday. Now, Mitchel's versatility as a choreographer has allowed him to choreograph and teach master classes for studios across the U.S. in all different styles. He won the Choreographers Shootout at the Shootout Dance Experience and was hired to teach Contemporary & Jazz for this convention in 2009-2010. Mitchel's passion for dance and helping others led him to create Versatile Dance Company. This non-profit dance company, through Mitchel's choreography in all genres, puts on shows to benefit charities that are close to their hearts. In January 2010, VDC put on it's premier performance in which they raised $15,000 for Childhood Leukemia, all under the artistic direction of young Mr. Federan. Mitchel then went on to cast and choreograph a music video with the band Pixikill, for their new single "Chameleon." Recently, he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he was fortunate enough to be hired by the new dance convention NRG Dance Project. NRG will be touring the U.S. starting November, 2010, www.NRGDanceProject.com. At the age of 18, Mitchel is prepared to take over the world, one dance move at a time.
