I've created this space chiefly to share videos of my steam engines with friends. I just returned to this hobby in the summer of '07, after a 20-something year hiatus, because I decided that as an IT worker I needed a hobby that does not involve computers.

...Yes, I understand the irony of posting digital videos to the internet while engaged in a hobby that is supposed to be computer free.

This is a continuing learning experience for me. You may find much here that is apocryphal, or at least wildly inaccurate, especially if you take the time to delve into the older videos. I've chosen to leave everything in place that I have ever uploaded: the good, the bad, the indifferent, because every one of us was once a stumbling newbie.

I hope that you all find something here that makes the visit worth your while.

Thank you

love the bohm engine. i cant really afford steam engines, so i have just been picking up gas ones and play around with them :D! of course they are more dangerous, smelly, and definatly more noisy, but still fun nonetheless :D!

thanks for the info! i am currently playing with various propane burners for my wilesco D6 that i have made so based on this extra tip i think i see a jensen 75 in my future :-P i like having the open flame heat source instead of electric.
MisterOcclusion (1 year ago)
I don't have any hard data on that, but from running both of them my feeling is they are very similar in power. For myself I'd choose the Jensen 25 for the build quality, electric heater, and reverse linkage.

how does the jensen 25/75 compare to the wilesco d18 in terms of power and torque. i ask because i am looking at these engines as the next in my collection. TIA
MisterOcclusion (1 year ago)
No, nothing new. I've been flipping over to computer work again, and have not had any time for steam lately.

have you done anything new? new enignes or anything? just wondering.

Ive noticed an alcohol burner in several of your videos, i dont know if they are different ones or not. i saw something on the internet quite a while back but i cant seem to find a dealer of a burner like that. could you tell me where i can get one.
