FYI:
I do NOT practice with my children around. Either they are sleeping or my husband is watching them while I have my door closed. My kids have seen my pole, but they are toddlers, they were just told it's a pole to help hold up the house :).

Note:
I had the Peek a boo hot pink pole, but as for being serious on the pole I would not advise you to get this. I learned my lesson the really hard way. When I took it down you could tell how bad it was from just doings little beginner spins, so please for your safety, save up for your xpole.

However I do currently have my X-pole, I just got it. I am happy with it. Just learning on the Spin mode is a bit hard, cause I am use to Static mode. Works awesome, I love it. Was easy to assemble, my husband did it pretty fast. As for what X-pole I do have, I have the 50mm Chrome pole. It's nice, I love it. The average pole is 50mm. But I do suggest if you have smaller hands maybe try the 45mm, I hear most girls say it works awesome as well. I just love my 50mm. Best of luck with poling.

When you purchase the pole and get it assembled, make sure you clean it well. I cleaned mine up with Acetone Nail Polish Remover, the Acetone removes the WD40. Your probably wondering about the WD40. Well you use that in the threads of the pole when assembling it so you can take it back down later without a bad hassle and without a squeaky pole!. Your pole WILL be slippery. So I advise clean it before use, during long sessions on the pole, and definitely after poling. You will come to see that it will adjust within time.

As for gripping the pole, the more skin you have showing the better. Thats what I have learned. Tank tops that I roll up and shorts. Or some ladies prefer sports bra's and undies or etc, whatever you are comfortable in. Shaved legs are always a plus, the more grip you have on the pole the better, the less you shave, the bit more of a slip you'll have.

Yes poling hurts your muscles, but in do time you will adjust and feel great!. Keep on practicing, don't give up, and keep faith because YOU "CAN" DO IT!!!.

Info about my room decor:

As for my mirrors on my wall, walmart, square mirrors. $10 each. I got 4 and a big one off of Craigslist near my area.. so I have 5 mirrors, but without that big one, I would need 6 without a doubt of those squares. Hope this helps.

Lights can be sold at party stores, even walmart sells some disco balls. I got mine from Spencers in the mall here where I live. I got xmas lights, thumbtacks to hold, pretty non-expensive and I love it. Hope you love your X-pole, lights, mirrors as much as I love mine!!.

Every time before and after I use my pole I make sure I clean it with rubbing alcohol. Not a lot, just a little to wipe it down or Acetone Nail Polish Remover works well too. To get a grip I put a tiny bit on my hands (until I get something else) and it does work reasonably well. X-pole does sell on their website, mighty grip, heard it works well.

I DO NOT wear rings on the pole.
I DO NOT use lotions or sprays before practicing.
I DO NOT suggest you do those either :)

Veena is awesome, she explains it clearly, has Beginner,Intermediate, and Advanced moves for your level. It's not pricey so go for it, so worth it!. This is coming from a girl who has never HAD ANY CLASSES.
