Lyrics:
love is a burning thing and it makes a fiery ring bound by wild desire I fell into a ring of fire
I fell into a burning ring of fire I went down and the flames grew higher and it burns, burns, burns the ring of fire, the ring of fire the ring of fire
the taste of love is sweet when hearts like ours meet I fell for you like a child oh, but the fire went wild
I fell into a burning ring of fire I went down and the flames grew higher and it burns, burns, burns the ring of fire, the ring of fire the ring of fire
I fell into a burning ring of fire I went down till the flames grew higher and it burns, burns, burns the ring of fire, the ring of fire the ring of fire

I would like to buy some time with cause and purpose. My hands shake at every glance, we were so cautious and a phone call's the last thing that I need to tell me that I'm better off without, without the one that helped me to breathe. All my favorite places, they've got familiar faces and the best accommodations for hostility. All those pretty faces, they've always got something to say. Who am I kidding, I'm not listening anyway. My close ones told me I'd be lost without a lover, there's comfort in something I can call my own. Do you worry about the one you lay with? Or are you more concerned with staying far from view? Its time to wise up kid, you know we're not children anymore. Now I'm a shadow of my former self, your favorite book with all the pages ripped out. At least now I've got something to write about, but my words are dirty and I've got the mouth of a drunk. But wasn't that the first thing you loved about me? All my favorite places, they've got familiar faces and the best accommodations for hostility. All those pretty faces they've always got something to say. Who am I kidding, I'm not listening anyway. There's some people I see myself in; the old that wonder about how they will end or why things never seem to change for them. By no one's choice they're forced to sleep alone.

The Secret Life of Plants (1973) is a book by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Bird, described as "A fascinating account of the physical, emotional, and spiritual relations between plants and man."
The book explores the idea that plants may be sentient, despite their lack of a nervous system and a brain, an idea only recently supported by mainstream biology.[1] This sentience has purportedly been observed through changes in plants' conductivity, as through a polygraph, as pioneered by Cleve Backster. The book also contains a summary of Goethe's theory of plant metamorphosis. The book delves deeply into such unconventional topics as the aura, psychophysics, orgone, radionics, kirlian photography, magnetism/magnetotropism, bioelectrics, dowsing, and (more conventionally) the history of science.
The Secret Life of Plants was the basis for the 1979 documentary of the same name, with a soundtrack specially recorded by Stevie Wonder called Journey through the Secret Life of Plants. -Wikipedia
