I really like the panning shots, where the cameraman walks up and down a line of players, or follows a group of them advancing. Of course, the close-ups of individual players are better for gear porn, but I find tactics and team dynamics to be just as cool.

Suggestion: Maybe try combining the cannons and the arrows? Like, be firing cannons at each other, and have some people trying to kill the enemy crews with arrows. And maybe modify the cannons to be able to hit the decks and rigging of the ships too.
