@Fredigundis22 I couldn't agree with you more. I miss the Britain that once was. Now, there are only miniscule fragments left. As much as I heartily enjoy this film, it's still rather bittersweet. So much is now gone forever.
For someone who wasn't alive in 1883, Gordon Clune seems to be the self-appointed authority in the community on authentic frontier life. I personally never thought Karen was that bad by comparison with the Paddy shrew that Gordon called a wife. Such a horrible family.
