Let's see, I just turned 43. I'm tall and slender (but fit). My friends claim I wield a strong intellect and should be considered charmed and dangerous. I'll let you be the judge of that.I'm known to hang out at bookstores, farmers markets, and restaurants serving outstanding meals. My rap sheet includes multiple counts of heart breaking and entering, unlawful use of probing discussion, and inappropriate displays of public affection.
My friends also describe me as energetic and fun to be around, but I also employ a small amount sarcasm (consider it a test). I relish learning new things and improving myself in areas of life I feel are important. I enjoy reading, fitness, and dark chocolate (processed sans alkali, of course). I'm not a huge fan of television, but I enjoy Lost and Spartacus: Blood and Sand. I tend to spend my time on productive pursuits.
For fitness, I practice yoga, swim, perform body-weight exercises, enjoy a long walk or hike, and generally anything I find to be a physical challenge (no more gorilla chins because that's how I tore my right bicep). I find cliff diving is especially thrilling (to watch, not actually do).
I am flawed, wickedly amusing, and always ready .
What I'm doing with my life:
After recently retiring from the Navy, I'm now taking it easy for a while.
Currently, my travels find me located in GA visiting friends and family. Additionally, I'm thinking about driving back to Arizona and carving a new Grand Canyon. I'm also planning a trip to hell and back, just to see what all the fuss is about.
Actually, later this year I plan on taking a four-month long vacation in Ecuador.
I'm really good at:
meeting people and going with the flow; however, I will take the lead when I need to.
Additionally, I excel at food preparation, socializing, articulation, and producing the best cup of java you've ever tasted.
But, what I am really good at is falconry. And, oh, I play a mean game of pool (ball placement is everything).
I'm also good at meditating and pushing the world away for a while. We all need our space.
Finally, I consider sarcasm an art form. I've been known to piss off a person, or two (or perhaps even three).
The first things people usually notice about me:
is my raw intelligence, but there's much more to me than just being a brain. I'm also a sexy sonofabitch women thoroughly enjoy being with.
I think after that, people notice my humility and down-to
-earth nature. If more people were like me (and they should be), the world would be a better place.
People also notice I have strong listening skills, that is IF the speaker knows how to communicate! Should I find you interesting, you'll have my full attention. FWIW, if you are speaking, but not really saying anything, try to notice the fact my eyes are glazed over.
Neil, yeah, gorillas are insanely strong. WE would be too if we still walked around on all fours. ;) I'd like to think we could eventually train up to the strength level required for ripping a coconut open, but I don't think our fingernails would survive the experience (ever seen a gorilla's, or ...
