I also held CR in MG glitch flap, using quacker and old strat, before Jazz beat me with the newer 'stay on the mountain' strat.

I know, my TT's are good, but not so good to join the PP. I'm also just #22 in my country. (Germany)
I more like it to play online(CTWW's, normal WW's, 1on1's; sometime NON-Items, Friend rooms and so on).
Now, it doesn't care me so really, how good I'm at TT.
Custom Tracks creating is also one of my MKWii-activities.
Well, that's the reasons, why Mario Kart Wii is only a fun-game for me.
