@FriendNotFoeBand and you'd be surprised how much a little compression does to a guitar; it's not as redundant as you'd think. The fact that most engineers don't put a LITTLE bit of compression on is as sickening to think of as the fact that they scoop the mids. Do you know how much TONE you lose...
