In every community, children and teens are left to find their own recreation and companionship, often in the streets. An increasing number are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Middlesex County offer that and much more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of children by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, influence and belonging.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Middlesex County are a "Place To Go & A Place To Grow" for all young people from Somerville, Medford and Cambridge. We are "The Positive Place For Kids".
What makes the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middlesex County unique is that we:
Have dues so low that all youth, regardless of financial circumstances, can join
Have programs designed to meet the needs of our 21st century children and teens
Are staffed by trained Youth Development Professionals
Are open during the critical non-school hours of 2:30p.m. - 9:00p.m. during the school year and 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the summer (with extended cares hours if needed.)
Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
