Howdy ya'll, We are the MidWest Rebels based out of Brookings, SD. Randy Burghardt (Lead Vocal, Rythmic Guitar) and Cody Stahl (Drums) got together one day and decided to start a band their sophomore year in high school. A year later, Randy went to a guy named Austin Genzlinger (Lead Vocal, Back Up Guitar) and asked for him to join. After that they called the country duo group the MidWest Rebels. They went around and performed for FFA, 4-H, and other private and public venues in Eastern South Dakota. In the fall of 2008, Kyle VanderWal (Background Vocal, Back Up Guitar) joined the group, then quit in the summer of 2009. After Kyle left the group, Randy asked Troy Larsen (Lead Guitar), Amanda Anderson (Background Vocal), Joseph Nepodal (Back Up Guitar, Background Vocal), and Derick Burghardt (Drums) to join the band.
